COOKING UP A STORM is the Social Conscience of our restaurant. We truly believe in influencing and supporting our community, our city and our country through simple and practical projects.

Much like following a recipe we believe in a step-by-step approach to do what we can to make a difference in people's lives.

All profits from the restaurant will go towards funding our projects and currently we have created, collaborated and successfully delivered the following projects :

  • Monday to Friday daytime, we are closed to concentrate on our Cooking Up a Storm projects.
  • Workplace & job training for school leavers and individuals with barriers to work with bespoke training leading to Industry jobs.
  • Bespoke cookery classes for those wishing to learn how to cook inspiring, healthy and nutritious food on a budget. We love collaborating and would be happy to talk to any organisation that might want us to deliver these as part of their projects.
  • Community Chefs services.
  • Cookery classes for individuals diagnosed with food related health conditions such as diabetes or food allergens.

Much of our training and support takes place at the Kilted Lobster in our kilted kitchen but the kilted kitchen is also mobile and we can just as easy come to you.

We would love to hear from you if you or anyone you know would benefit from our projects. Do get in touch at kiltedlobster@yahoo.co.uk
